About Jason:

One of the seven Roofball Founders.

Jason Richards was born in San Jose, California to Larry and Kathy Richards. His family moved to Beaverton, Oregon early in Richards's life and resided in the area through the spring of 1985, when Jason and his parents moved to Sterling, Virginia.

After three years on the east coast the Richardses moved back to Beaverton in 1988, and Jason graduated from Beaverton High School in 1993.

Richards then attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. While there he was a pitcher for the Tigers' Div. I baseball team, and graduated with degrees in both psychology and mathematics.

Boston, Massachusetts was the next stop for Richards, where he earned a master's degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. Richards then applied his knowledge to the U.S. space program, working as a research scientist for a NASA contractor in Houston, Texas.

In late 2006 Richards left NASA behind and began a career in the pharmaceuticals industry, and continues to live in Houston.
